About Potassium Nitrate

Potassium nitrate (KNO₃) is a chemical compound composed of potassium, nitrogen, and oxygen. It is a crystalline salt that acts as an oxidizing agent.

Form: It typically comes in a white powder or crystalline solid form.

Common use-cases: Potassium nitrate is commonly used in the production of fertilizers to provide essential nutrients to plants. It is also used in the food industry as a preservative and curing agent in meats. In manufacturing, it is a key component of gunpowder and is used in fireworks and explosives due to its oxidizing properties.

Form: Powder and Prill

Common use-cases: Potassium plays an important role in sugar and starch production, making fruits juicier and sweeter and is important for colour development. Plants deficient in potassium are less resistant to drought, excess water and high and low temperatures. Redox Potassium Nitrate is a soluble fertiliser containing readily available potassium and nitrogen.

Typical Nutrient composition: K = 38% N = 13.5%

Pack Sizes: 25kg bags and Bulker bags
