Soda ash, or sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), is a white anhydrous, powdered or granular material refined from the mineral trona which is regarded as the standard for quality and purity. It is available in three main grades (light, medium and dense) with the same chemical properties, differing only in physical characteristic that affect flow and angle repose, such as bulk density, particle size and shapes.
Sourced from ANSAC’s Green River Basin in Wyoming USA, our soda ash is an essential raw material used in many applications and industrial processes, including:
- Detergents and Soaps, including domestic and commercial products for kitchens, clothing and bathrooms.
- Chemicals, including fertilisers, artificial sodium bentonites or active bentonites, synthetic detergents, organic and inorganic colourings, enamels, the fuel industry and for the fats, glues and gelatine products.
