Sydney, NSW (21st October 2015) as a part of Redox’s commitment to practical green initiatives, a new $220,000 solar power generation system has been installed in its head office in Minto, NSW. The investment has a payback period of 5-7 years.

The photovoltaic (PV) panels will generate up to 800kW hours per day saving the company $30,000 per annum initially, with increased demand from a planned site expansion providing further savings. The electricity generated will reduce CO2 emissions by 320,000kg p.a., the equivalent of 70 passenger cars or 1,345 computers.

A PV system employs solar panels composed of a number of solar cells to supply usable solar power. Power generation from solar PV has long been seen as a clean sustainable energy technology which draws upon the planet’s most plentiful and widely distributed renewable energy source – the sun.
